What is Holistic Therapy and how can it help?
The demands of life are complex. Holistic therapy is a combination of therapies that explore different ways to reconnect and live life from a place of harmony and awareness inside and out.
The Psychotherapeutic Relationship
A safe confidential space is provided, empathic and non-judgmental, to build and establish trust, so that a client can begin to explore and resolve painful and self-limiting issues.
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
Based on the understanding that by changing how we think about things (our cognitive process) we change the way we feel (our emotions) and the way we react (our behavior). It can help us to overcome negative emotions and behavior and eliminate unhelpful patterns, through learning of techniques and strategies. Can help with Anger, Panic, Anxiety, Fear and Depression.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Based on the theory that we unconsciously repeat patterns from our past in the present. Sometimes we may be aware of these patterns, but they can also be unconscious. These thoughts and emotions accumulate and can become destructive. Inner enquiry, moving deeper into your inner landscape. It is important to understand the root cause to bring about change.
Mindfulness
Helps with separating from our thoughts, focus is on being present in the moment, here and now, not being concerned with the past or the future, acceptance of what is. Instilling presence and calm.
Relaxation for Living
Developing an understanding of how stress and tension accumulate, also the emotional component. Raising consciousness of body and mind connection in order to create balance and harmony and to face life’s challenges with clarity and intention.
Exercise and Nutrition Therapy
A personally devised plan of exercise and nutrition to nourish the body and mind.
